Sheroy is a solicitor within the education department at Sinclairslaw, working under the direct supervision of the firm’s CEO; Michael Charles. Through his practice, Sheroy is committed to ensuring that every child / young adult is provided with the education that they deserve. He is able to assist with matters across the broad spectrum of education law, including:

• Representing victims of bullying in claims against educational institutions and local authorities;
• A range of higher education matters, including fitness to practise proceedings, academic appeals, matters before the Office of the Independent Adjudicator for Higher Education and civil claims for compensation;
• Pursuing school and university admissions appeals;
• Challenging exclusion from academic institutions;
• Matters concerning special educational needs and disabilities; and
• Claims arising from discrimination of any form.

He also has three years of post-qualification experience as a supervising solicitor within the sphere of public law, placing particular emphasis on giving a voice to the most disenfranchised members of society. He is ranked as a ‘Key Lawyer’ within the Legal 500 2020 for his work in that sector. Sheroy studied BA (Hons) Politics at Queen Mary University of London as an undergraduate, obtaining an Upper Second Class degree. He then completed the Graduate Diploma in Law at BPP Law School (London Waterloo), followed by the Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School (London Holborn), for which he was awarded a Distinction.

Sheroy’s legal experience prior to joining the firm primarily involved representing claimants in challenges to the lawfulness of government policy, frequently through the use of multi-party strategic litigation. He has a wealth of experience in matters of judicial review and urgent injunctive relief, appeals before the First-tier Tribunal and Upper Tribunal, in addition to high-value civil claims for compensatory damages. He also represented a Core Participant with the Grenfell Tower Inquiry.

Outside of the law, Sheroy is a volunteer youth worker, working with schools and charities in order to ensure that students from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds are provided with the opportunity to access higher education. His role involves guiding students through their pursuit of a career within the legal sphere, in addition to delivering careers presentations and contributing to networking events for students from inner-city schools. He mentors a handful of male students ranging between the ages of 15-18 in order to provide them with the advice and assistance required to realise their full potential. He is also a lifelong supporter of Arsenal FC and a keen gym-goer.
