"Thank you for being the most amazing lawyer and succeeding in getting me back into Medical School in October 2011. I managed to complete the amazing turnaround by passing my Medical Finals in March. I will be forever grateful for your work. You had a great manner and showed true professionalism. Keep up the good work! A doctor may save lives, but a lawyer can change lives"
"Thank you for helping me with Riverston School"
"After another Central London Education Law Firm failed, Mike was confident with my case from the offest and succeeded in reinstating me back into Leicester Medical School! What makes Mike so good, is not just his really good way with words, his vast experience or his in-depth knowledge of law, but his genuine compassion for his clients. He genuinely treats his clients like his own children. I will be referring a lot of people to this firm in the future. Thanks again SinclairsLaw, you have genuinely changed my life and I will be eternally grateful"
"When times seemed hard and apparent incompetence of others around us seemed to far outweigh our own resources, it was a breath of fresh air to have you dealing with this important issue on our behalf. Your enthusiasm and professionalism knew no boundaries along with your sense of humour, which I remember has been tested to certain limits, but at least we could smile whilst making progress."
Simon & Liz, Carmarthen
"Thank you most sincerely Mike for your great work. You truly are an amazing lawyer for getting me back into medical school. I was certain that with your professionalism, passion and vast experience in law I will succeed. I shall be forever grateful. "

A direct payment enables a person to purchase their own community care services, as opposed to having them arranged for them by the local authority and/or their contracted providers. It enables the person receiving community care services to employ a carer, known as a ‘Personal Assistant’. This arrangement generally allows for greater control and flexibility as to how care services are provided, often bringing with it increased independence. It is important to note that, although direct payments allow for more flexibility, they must still be used to purchase services which are required to meet the person’s assessed needs. Direct payments may also be provided to people who are entitled to services under the carers’ legislation.
If an individual has been assessed as having eligible needs for community care services, the local authority is obliged to provide Direct Payments (for both adults and children) as an alternative to providing services. There are some conditions attached to who may (and may not) receive a direct payment. The main ones are that the recipient has consented to the provision of direct payments (or that a suitable third party has done so on their behalf, where they lack capacity) and also that they are capable of managing the direct payment (alone or with assistance). There are a number of organisations and agencies which can assist to enable users to manage Direct Payments effectively.
Sinclairslaw has considerable experience in helping clients resolve a whole range of problems with their direct payments; we are here to help.
