Special Educational Needs & Disability Tribunals Service
The First Tier Tribunal for Special Educational Needs & Disability was set up by the Education Act 1993. It considers parents’ appeals against the decisions of Local Authorities (LA’s) about children’s special educational needs if parents cannot reach agreement with the LA.
Her Majesty’s Courts Service
Her Majesty’s Courts Service (HMCS) is an executive agency of the Ministry of Justice (MoJ). Their remit is to deliver justice effectively and efficiently to the public. They are responsible for managing the magistrates’ courts, the Crown Court, county courts, the High Court and Court of Appeal in England and Wales.
