Sinclairslaw Trailblazer Solicitor Apprenticeships
Sinclairslaw is proud to announce it shall be providing two successful candidates the opportunity to join the firm in September 2018 as apprentices under the Trailblazer Solicitor Apprenticeship scheme.
***IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS TO STAGE 1 NOW REVISED FROM 1ST SEPTEMBER 2017 TO 27TH OCTOBER 2017***
In collaboration with the City Law School London and CILEx Law School, Sinclairslaw is offering two candidates the opportunity to train with the firm under the new Trailblazer Solicitor Apprenticeship scheme with the aim of qualifying as a solicitor at the end of the apprenticeship.
This apprenticeship will combine the hands on legal work experience that the apprentice will experience working for Sinclairslaw with the theory that they will learn on course with City Law School. This will enable the apprentice to embed the learning from the classroom into practise.
The apprenticeship is aimed at sixth form students who are looking to go to university and provides an alternative to training as a solicitor in the traditional way. As this is an apprenticeship programme, the fees for the course are shared by Sinclairslaw and the Government. Therefore, this is an excellent opportunity to train as a solicitor with no university debts and being paid as an employee of Sinclairslaw!
The apprenticeship will last 6 years, within which the apprentice will study a part-time LLB legal practice with City Law School in years 1 to 4 followed by preparation for the Solicitors Regulation Authority’s end point examinations in years 5 and 6. Academic study shall be provided by City Law School in conjunction with CILEx Law School.
Sinclairslaw shall ensure that the apprentice is provided the support and guidance required to successfully complete the required courses and obtain the skills necessary to develop into a competent solicitor at the end of the apprenticeship. Therefore, Sinclairslaw will provide the apprentice with appropriate study leave to enable the apprentice to prepare for the various examinations they will be expect to sit during the apprenticeship.
The Application Process opens on 14th July 2017 and requires the apprentice to submit:
- a copy of their cv;
- details of two references (1 academic being either a head teacher or equivalent and 1 professional);
- a response to the question “Why do you want a career in the law and why do you want to undertake the solicitor apprenticeship programme with Sinclairslaw?” in no more than 300 words; and
- sign and return the ‘Agreement to Enter Sinclairslaw Apprenticeship Application Process’ contract (this can be found at the Documents and Useful Links Page below).
Candidates must submit their application to email@example.com
