
Russell Jenkins
Russell was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 1963. After managing for a period of only 10 months a branch office of the firm to whom he had been articled he set up with another newly qualified solicitor a new practice in Cardiff in 1964. He amalgamated his practice into Sinclairs in 1999 and became a Consultant with the firm.
In the early years of his career his work was predominantly in the residential conveyancing, matrimonial and civil and criminal litigation fields. For over 30 years his work has involved residential and commercial conveyancing; Landlord and Tenant; Wills and Probate and Sport Law, in the last of these areas advising on contracts and regulations particularly in the areas of rugby football, boxing and ice hockey and attending relevant tribunals.
Interests outside the Law
His main interests have been in rugby, cricket and squash both originally as a player and later as an administrator. He was a National Representative and Trustee of the Welsh Rugby Union between 1993-1996. He is Chairman of Crawshay's Welsh RFC; President of Cardiff High School Old Boys RFC and Honorary Solicitor to the Welsh Rugby International Players Association.
He is a supporter of the arts, music and various charities being a supporting member of the very talented and young Welsh Orchestra Sinfonia Cymru and Director of the Annual Gareth Edwards Rugby Sevens' Tournament for the Cardiff Institute for the Blind.
