Charmaine YipTrainee Solicitor
Charmaine Yip is a trainee solicitor in our Cardiff Office who joined the firm in April 2021. She is working under Rachel Rees-Gralton in the Property and Private Client departments. Following completion of her Law degree at Swansea University, she attended BPP Law school in London where she completed her Legal Practice Course.
During her studies, Charmaine secured mini-pupillages at Iscoed and Pendragon Chambers in Swansea, where she gained experience in assisting barristers who specialised in different areas of law including Family Law, Private Client, to Corporate and Criminal Law. Furthermore, she undertook an overseas mini-pupillage and a vacation scheme to gain insight into the way in which legal systems differ.
Charmaine was also the student director and a volunteer for the Employment Law Pro Bono Project in London. She enjoys helping others and this is one of the reasons she aspires to become a qualified solicitor.
In her spare time, she loves playing instruments, listening to Jazz music, cooking and spending quality time with friends and family.
She is proficient in Cantonese and Mandarin.
