Siân (she/they) is a solicitor who works in the Public Law Team based in the Cardiff office. Siân works under the supervision of Christopher McFarland (Director and Head of Education Cardiff). She is also in the process of completing her PhD at the University of Exeter.
Siân joined Sinclairslaw in 2025. She qualified as a solicitor in 2013.
Siân specialises in working with children and young people, and has a background in trauma informed practice. She is passionate about children’s rights, with a particular interest in Welsh social care law. Siân also holds the Law Society’s Senior Supervising Caseworker accreditation in Immigration and Asylum Law. As a researcher Siân writes on a number of legal issues and was part of the team that drafted the Welsh Government Guides for Social Workers working with Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children in Wales (https://www.gov.wales/guidance-children-seeking-asylum-wales).
